Guys With Glasses.

I've always been someone who enjoys spending their free time watching YouTube. I subscribe to numerous vloggers who publish comedy skits every week and who's ages span between 16-25. Most of these vloggers are simply young guys who are attractive with shining personalities. Their artistry isn't that amazing, but their 5 minute videos make me laugh out loud, so I consider these videos beneficial because laughing is always worthwhile. My YouTube subscriptions are normally taken up by the likes of Mikey Murphy, Luke Korns, and Joe Sugg, but once in a while, I do take a break from the comedy and find the more art-sy side of YouTube.

I decided after a long while of thinking, to compile a short list of my favorite YouTube filmakers whose art has either:
1. Changed my life,
2. Made me think about the outcomes of the video for several hours,
3. Inspired me to do something I never would've thought I'd do.

What I did realize after writing this list, is that all of these filmmakers have 1 similarity.

I'm not sure if glasses is just a trend filmmakers like to toss around but all I can say is glasses suit them all very well.

I will be highlighting all of these filmmakers and share my opinions of them with you. I hope that reading this entry will encourage you to go and watch some of their videos because they all deserve so much recognition for their incredible work.

1. Will Darbyshire
(https://www.youtube.com/user/willdarbyshirefilm)

I would like to begin by saying that Will is one of the most charming and adorable YouTubers around. His personality is very introverted and I always feel that being able to connect with Will is so easy. He speaks directly to the camera and I always have the impression he's actually speaking to me. His videos tend to be about a specific topic and are nonchalantly humorous and can always make me smile. Unlike a lot of the YouTube community, Will is quiet, seemingly wise, and says deep things without making them too sappy, which I LOVE. I would recommend Will to anyone who needs a sweet face, calming background music, and a deep conversation without having to speak back.

2. Bertie Gilbert
(https://www.youtube.com/user/BertiebertG)

Bertie Gilbert is hands-down one of my favorite filmmakers of all time. His videos are overwhelmingly inspirational, thought-provoking, and very, very creative. Bertie's films are like short movies. They have plots, professional camera work, a script, and special effects. His films feature actors of all backgrounds, and Bertie himself often stars as one of the main characters. Bertie's films always have some sort of humor whether it's gritty, ironic, or just joking. Normally when I watch a Bertie Gilbert film, I am always aware I should at least take 30 minutes out of my day, because his films can be up to around 20 minutes. Then, I always need at least 10 minutes to process what all I just watched. I would recommend Bertie Gilbert to viewers who seek a mind-boggling experience, sharp intakes of breath, and epiphanies.

3. JacksGap
(https://www.youtube.com/user/JacksGap)

JacksGap is the first filmmaker I ever encountered. They started as a small vlog channel run by a pair of twins, Jack and Finn Harries. Over the years, their channel just grew larger and larger and LARGER. They have traveled all throughout the world and vlog about their adventures which consists of meeting new people, helping out with numerous charities, and connecting with the JacksGap community all around the globe. JacksGap is often criticized because they aren't the best at posting videos on a regular basis but I like to think that they aren't a "regular" channel. I have RAVED to people about JacksGap because they aren't only so, so handsome but also they think outside to box with everything they do. I recommend JacksGap to anyone who wants to be jealous by other people's travels, needs a slight mood-booster, and is wishing for a trip around the world without even having to step onto a plane.

4. Troye Sivan
(https://www.youtube.com/user/TroyeSivan18)

Troye Sivan tends to lean towards more of the YouTube-star filmmaker. He is a singer, actor, and model. But. He does make "films". Troye's videos are very, very funny. He has a sense of humor that I'm jealous of because he makes everyone around him happy. Troye is really willing to put everything out there, including how he is gay and openly thinks boys are cute. Troye is just probably one of my favorite people. I recommend Troye to anyone who needs a laugh, wants to see the most stunning pair of blue eyes around, and who is willing to ask themselves, "Why isn't he straight?!"
5. Mikey Murphy
(https://www.youtube.com/user/MikeIsAverage)

I will admit Mikey Murphy isn't really a "filmmaker". I did though want to feature him on this list because the first video that pulled me into his channel was remarkably artist-y and I LOVED IT. Mikey is one of my favorite YouTubers in general at the moment. He never ever ceases to make me grin and there is something about him that just makes me want to hug him. I recommend Mikey to those who need a reason to realize people aren't all that bad, and admire how young people can do things too.
